Dubai, June 10, 2022 – Distichain has been featured in Logistics Middle East magazine following its big win at the Fast Forward Challenge ’22 held at DHL Innovation Center in Dubai South.
Supply chain complexity in today’s world has set some pain points stemming from optimization inefficiencies and lack of visibility. For products to reach a buyer, there is a long and fragmented set of processes which renders the whole system time-consuming and ineffective. An answer to the complexity faced by traders, is to adopt a structure to make global supply chain much more integrated.
The Fast Forward challenge was part of a two-week program where only five startups were invited to showcase their solutions that address the pain points for the logistics industry. Innovation and technology was at the forefront of each solution . Startup founders were offered mentoring and networking sessions with leading experts in the industry in the region, in PWC Middle East and in partnership with Microsoft for Startups, Ahoy, Dubai Startup Hub, ENY consulting, here, Emirates Post, and Hypermotion.
Asked what encouraged him mostly in participating in the challenge, Haisam Jamal, founder, stated that “Having the opportunity to articulate our vision across the logistics industry was our main motivation. Our aim was to showcase the importance of digitalizing the entire trade flow, and to demonstrate how that secures, simplifies, and empowers companies globally.”
With a platform like Distichain, the whole supply chain process is entirely automated from warehouse to warehouse, all workflows implemented on one easy to use interface.
Today, our main drive is “disrupting trade, changing the mindset and moving companies into digitalized trade, focusing on the agriculture segment via cooperatives, export and trade authorities”. Jamal confirms.
